The national flag of Grenada was adopted on the 7^th of February 1974. The flag features a red border which is representative of spirit, harmony and courage. With the six stars located on the border as well as the central star portraying the seven parishes of the nation. The flag also features two yellow triangles, one on the top and the other on the bottom, with the yellow colour depicting the warm sunshine that often shines on the nation of Grenada. The green triangles on the left and right sides symbolise the country's lush vegetation as well as agriculture. In the left triangle is a symbol of a nutmeg, with Grenada being one of the largest exporters of the spice in the world.

Local Grenadian legend suggests that Grand Etang Lake is bottomless, as the deepest part of the lake has not been found.
