Flags Country Patches Forrest Zimbabwian

Zimbabwe's flag was first flown in April 1980. The soapstone bird stands for a statue of a bird found in ruins, which is to symbolize Zimbabwe's history, while the red star represents its revolutionary struggle for freedom. Surrounded by Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique, Zimbabwe is kind of landlocked with no coastal access to the sea. Zimbabwe has however treasures like the famous Victoria Falls and an ancient architectural monument called the Great Zimbabwe which gave it its name. Zimbabwians celebrate their national day on 18th April.
